Rajma, shot and eaten

Just playing around with the new 85 1.8G (AF-S Nikkor 85mm f/1.8 G) at home. The beans were shot, and then eaten! The poor lot!

This is one of the initial steps in making a pretty popular Indian dish, called Rajma. A quick google throws up a bunch of recipes on how to go about preparing it, very frequently combined with boiled rice, as 'Rajma Chawal'.
